How to play

Guess a hidden word from its pronunciation, written in the International Phonetic Alphabet. Each guess is a real word whose pronunciation is exactly 5 IPA symbols long, so the spelling can have a different number of letters. After each guess the tiles are colored: green means that symbol is correct and in the right spot, yellow means the symbol is in the answer but in another spot, and gray means it is not in the answer at all. Pronunciation follows British Received Pronunciation, with long vowels counting as one symbol and separate from their short versions. You get 8 tries.
