How to play

You start with a 4-letter word and change 1 letter at a time until you reach POOP. Every rung along the way has to be a real 4-letter word. Each puzzle has a shortest possible route, called par, and every step beyond par counts against your score. Wins, streaks and average steps are kept in your browser, and results share as a spoiler-free grid.
