How to play

Guess a secret 5-letter word in 8 tries. Each guess returns only tallies — how many letters are correct and in place, how many are in the word but misplaced, and how many are absent — never which ones, so you deduce the positions yourself. On standard difficulty the word has no repeating letters and some letters are excluded up front.
